2025 Foundation Enrolments

Our school zone

Our school zone is available on findmyschool.vic.gov.au which hosts the most up-to-date information on school zones in Victoria.

Students residing within our school zone are guaranteed a place at our school, which is determined on the basis of your permanent residential address.

Our school manages enrolments using the Placement Policy to ensure that students have access to their designated neighbourhood school and may enrol at another school, if there are available places.

2025 Foundation (Prep) enrolments

The Department of Education has released an updated statewide Foundation (Prep) enrolment timeline for the 2025 school year.

The timeline advises families when and how to enrol their child into Foundation (Prep) at a Victorian government primary school, including [insert name of your school].

All government primary schools will follow the timeline in 2024 to support Foundation (Prep) enrolments for the 2025 school year.

You can find information and resources about the timeline, including factsheets and a poster at: Enrolling in Foundation (Prep). You can also download the ‘Foundation (Prep) Enrolment Information Pack for Parents and Carers’ from Enrolling in Foundation (Prep) (available from 15 April 2024).

Bendigo Primary School offers a wide range of exceptional educational programs for its students. There is a strong love of community and outdoor spaces here, which provide the children with opportunities they would not find elsewhere.

There is long established cooking and gardening program which promotes sustainability and food awareness. Every student has a weekly session in the garden, with a qualified gardener.

Students explore their individual passions through Investigation Time using the Developmental Curriculum in the early years and an Inquiry Approach in the senior classes.

We have strong Music and Art programs that help form pathways into the Arts, including a choir which regularly performs in the community. We have an extremely beneficial P.E curriculum that instils a love of fun and fitness in the children. Students also learn Mandarin (as LOTE) in all classes.

The school has a strong focus on developing Literacy and Numeracy skills and great range of subjects that allows children to develop their creativity.

‘We give students a balanced curriculum with all subjects, giving students a chance to shine in one or more areas,’ Learning Specialist, Kim Kirkpatrick said.

The school social competencies philosophy is based on Wilson McCaskill’s ‘Play is The Way.’ It is founded on the idea that children learn best through play, one of our main focuses is to develop Empathy in children.

Everyone is encouraged to Be Your Best at Bendigo Primary School.
