2027 Foundation Enrolments
Our school zone.
Our school zone is available on findmyschool.vic.gov.au which hosts the most up-to-date information on school zones in Victoria.
Students residing within our school zone are guaranteed a place at our school. Your school zone is determined based on your permanent residential address.
Our school manages enrolments using the Placement Policy to ensure that students have access to their local school. Students may enrol at another school if there are available places.

2027 Foundation (Prep) enrolments.
All Victorian government primary schools follow the statewide Foundation (Prep) enrolment timeline. The timeline advises families when and how to enrol their child at a Victorian government primary school.
You can apply to enrol your child in Foundation (Prep) in 2027 from Monday 20 April 2026.
What you need to do:

Submit an enrolment application by Friday 31 July 2026.

You will be notified of the outcome of your application between Monday 3 August and Friday 14 August 2026.

If you receive an enrolment offer, you should accept the offer by Friday 28 August 2026.

Take part in school transition sessions during Term 4, 2026.

Prepare your child to start Foundation (Prep) from Thursday 28 January 2027.
Enrolment applications submitted after 31 July 2026 will be processed by our school as they are received, in accordance with the department’s Enrolment Policy.

We also accept enrolment applications for students in other year levels. You can submit a request at any time in the school year.
Eligible students who live within our school zone are guaranteed a place, while students outside the zone may be enrolled if there are available places.

Bendigo Primary School is situated in central Bendigo. Our school values are respect, responsibility and kindness.
Our school vision is- At Bendigo Primary School, our vision is to empower socially and emotionally competent learners who are motivated, confident and mindful of self and others.
This year, our grade structures are- 1 X Foundation class, 2 x 1/2 classes, 1 x 2/3 class, 1 x 3/4 class, 1 x year 4 class, and 3 x year 5/6 classes. Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander students and their culture are valued and recognised through the curriculum, school activities and working in partnership with our KESO.
We support our students by implementing a tiered system of supports such as literacy and maths intervention, small speech support groups supported by a DET speech pathologist and members of our ES staff, one to one and small group support from ES staff and referrals to community services when appropriate.
We are committed to providing personalised learning in a supportive community focussed environment. We provide all students with a challenging learning environment and the educational, technological and social skills that enable them to become valued members of the community. The Vic curriculum is delivered in all learning areas with a strong focus on English and Mathematics. Weekly specialist lessons in Art, Music, Chinese Mandarin and Physical Education programs are taught F-6 by specialist staff.
We implement a range of wellbeing and behaviour support programs that support our students to learn how to regulate themselves, to identify a range of emotions, and to feel safe and supported. These programs include Smiling Minds, Zones of Regulation, Resilience, Rights & Respectful Relationships and School Wide Positive Behaviour Supports (SWPBS).
Our specialised Garden program continues to engage students and families and is a much loved, highly valued program in our school. Each class attends a weekly garden class with our Garden specialist and their class teacher. Over the school year, every grade has the opportunity to participate in cooking sessions that connect what we grow, with what we eat.
